Tapered roller bearing refers to a radial thrust type rolling bearing with a tapered roller as the rolling element. There are two types: small cone angle and large cone angle. The small cone angle mainly bears combined radial and axial loads, mainly radial loads. It is often used in pairs and installed in reverse. The inner and outer races can be installed separately, and the radial and axial clearance can be adjusted during installation and use; The large cone angle mainly bears the combined axial and radial loads mainly composed of axial loads, and is generally not used separately to bear pure axial loads. It can be used as a pair configuration (with the same end installed relative to each other) to bear pure radial loads.
 

Classification of rolling columns for tapered rollers:

(1)single-row tapered roller bearing. The cone angle of the outer ring raceway is between 10 ° and 19 °; Bearings with large cone angles, with a trailing code B and a cone angle between 25 ° and 29 °
(2)double-row tapered roller bearing. The small end faces of the two inner rings (or outer rings) are similar, with a spacer ring in the middle. The clearance is adjusted by the thickness of the spacer ring
(3)four-row tapered roller bearing. The performance of this type of bearing is basically the same as that of double row tapered roller bearings, but it bears a greater radial load and has a slightly lower limit speed compared to double row tapered roller bearings. It is mainly used in heavy-duty machinery.

Installation of tapered roller bearings:

1, The fit between the inner ring of the four row tapered roller bearing and the roller neck is generally with clearance. When installing, first install the bearing into the bearing box, and then install the bearing box into the journal.

2, The outer ring of the four row tapered roller bearing and the bearing housing hole also use a dynamic fit. First, install the outer ring A into the bearing housing. When leaving the factory, the outer ring, inner ring, and inner and outer spacer rings are printed with the symbol 'HotTag'. During installation, they must be installed in the bearing box in the order of the character symbols. It cannot be interchanged arbitrarily to prevent changes in bearing clearance.

3, After all the parts are installed in the bearing box, tighten the inner ring and inner spacer ring, and the outer ring and outer spacer ring axially.

4, Measure the gap width between the outer ring end face and the bearing box cover plate to determine the thickness of the corresponding sealing gasket.
