The different between self-aligning bearings & basic bearings:

In a self-aligning bearing, the inner ring has two raceways and the outer ring has a single spherical raceway with its center of curvature coincident with the bearing axis. This allows the axis of the inner ring, balls and cage to deflect around the bearing center to automatically correct misalignment caused by housing and shaft machining or installation error.

The description of Self-Aligning Bearing:

Self aligning ball bearing is a kind of bearing with spherical ball between the inner ring of two raceways and the outer ring with spherical raceway. The curvature center of the outer ring raceway surface is consistent with the bearing center, so it has the same self-aligning function as the automatic self-aligning ball bearing. When the shaft and shell are flexed, it can be adjusted automatically without increasing the bearing load. Self aligning ball bearing can bear radial load and axial load in two directions. Radial load capacity, suitable for heavy load, shock load.

Suffix Definitions of Self-aligning Ball Bearing:

C3: radial clearance than ordinary clearance

K: 1/12 taper tapered bore

K30: 1/30 taper tapered bore

M: Ball guided machined brass cage

2RS: with both ends of closures
